Medical-Grade Skincare, Obagi®
What you do at home matters more than what we do in clinic.
This is the part most clinics underplay, because it doesn't generate appointments. But in clinic treatments are periodic and your skincare is daily. Twenty minutes a month against ten minutes every day. The daily routine wins.
Why medical grade differs
The distinction isn't marketing. Cosmetic skincare is formulated to sit on the surface and is limited by regulation in the concentrations it can use. Medical grade products contain active ingredients at concentrations that reach the living layers of the skin and change how it behaves. Some require a prescription and clinical supervision, which is why they're dispensed through clinics rather than sold on a shelf.
Obagi®
We're an Obagi partner clinic. Obagi is the most prescribed physician dispensed skincare system in the United States, with decades of clinical use behind it, built around structured programmes rather than individual products. Programmes are designed for specific concerns: pigmentation and melasma, acne, ageing and collagen loss, and overall skin health.
How we work
An assessment of your skin, a programme matched to your concern, and a review to check how your skin is responding. Skin changes as it adjusts, and a routine that's right in month one may need adapting by month three. Some programmes include prescription components, which require a face to face consultation before they can be dispensed.
Active skincare has an adjustment period. Dryness, flaking and sensitivity in the early weeks are expected, and they're the reason most people abandon a good routine. We'll prepare you for it and support you through it, because the people who push through get the results. And you don't need twelve products. Most skin needs four or five used consistently.
