Surgical Referral
Sometimes the honest answer is that you need a surgeon.
Non surgical treatment has real limits. Skin laxity beyond a certain point, significant volume loss, heavy eyelids, and structural change to the face are all problems that injectables and energy devices cannot solve. Attempting to solve them anyway produces the overtreated look everyone recognises.
When that's the situation, we say so.
Who you'd see
We work alongside Mr Benedict Reed, Plastic Surgery Registrar at the Royal Free Hospital, and can arrange onward referral for a proper surgical opinion.
Commonly Surgical Referral
Blepharoplasty for upper or lower eyelids. Facelift and neck lift assessment. Significant skin laxity. Scar revision. Any concern where non surgical treatment would underdeliver.
How it works
We'll discuss it at your consultation, explain honestly what surgery would achieve compared with what we can offer, and arrange the referral. There's no pressure either way, and a surgical opinion doesn't commit you to surgery. Plenty of people come away deciding to wait, or to pursue non surgical options with realistic expectations instead.
It costs us a treatment to tell you this. We do it anyway, because a patient who's been talked into the wrong treatment doesn't come back, and shouldn't.
