Focused ultrasound for loose skin and localised fat on the abdomen, flanks, hips, arms, thighs or buttocks, one area per session. Deeper 7mm and 13mm cartridges reach the fat layer and a 4.5mm cartridge tightens the skin above it. This is a contouring treatment rather than a weight loss treatment, it works best on a stubborn area rather than general weight, and more than one session is usually needed. Results build over twelve to sixteen weeks and vary between individuals. We agree the single area at the consultation and mark it out before starting, so you know exactly what is being treated and what is not. Abdomen, flanks, hips, inner or outer thighs, upper arms and buttocks are all treated here. There is no downtime and no dressing. Expect the area to feel warm and tender for a few days, sometimes with a little swelling, and mild bruising is possible over bony areas. Normal exercise can resume the next day. Most people need two to three sessions about eight weeks apart, reviewed at the end. It will not tighten skin that has lost a lot of its elasticity, for example after significant weight loss or pregnancy, and where that is the case we will say so rather than sell you a course.
