Focused ultrasound for crepey skin, fine lines and loss of firmness across the neck and the chest. We work around the thyroid, the windpipe and the major vessels at the front of the neck, which are not treated. This area is thinner than the face, so energy is kept lower and the improvement is gradual. Results build over two to three months and vary between individuals. Sun damage on the chest is common in this country and often shows before the face does. Where the real problem is brown and red discolouration rather than looseness, IPL is the better treatment and we will say so at the consultation instead of taking the booking. There is little downtime. Most people find it uncomfortable rather than painful, particularly over the collarbones where the bone sits close to the surface. Tenderness or slight puffiness for a few days afterwards is normal. One session is usual, reviewed at three months.
