Service Description

Full face treatment extended to the neck, where sun damage and pigmentation are often more visible than on the face itself and frequently overlooked. Delivered on the Lumenis Stellar M22, with the wavelength and settings chosen for your skin type and for the concern being treated. Most people need a course of three to six sessions, spaced three to four weeks apart, and the change builds gradually rather than appearing overnight. Sun damage and freckling usually respond first. Background redness takes longer. This is not a treatment for loose skin, lines at rest or lost volume, and it is not right for everyone: melasma can worsen with light in some skin types, which is exactly what the assessment is for. Every course begins with a skin type assessment and a patch test, at no charge, and we will tell you if light is the wrong tool for your skin. Avoid sun and tanning, including fake tan, around each session, and wear a high factor sunscreen daily. Pigmented spots usually darken, then flake away over one to two weeks. Tell us about any medication that makes your skin sensitive to light. Consultations at our East Finchley clinic are free, and we see clients from across London.
