Poly-L-lactic acid. Not a filler. It stimulates your own collagen gradually over several months, and results can last up to two years. Usually requires more than one vial and more than one session. Please note this treatment is not reversible. The difference matters. A hyaluronic acid filler adds volume on the day and can be dissolved afterwards. Sculptra adds almost nothing on the day: what you see immediately is water, which settles within about a week, and the real change arrives slowly as collagen forms over two to three months. That makes it a poor choice if you want a visible result for an event next month, and a sensible one if you are treating general facial thinning and are willing to wait. Massage afterwards matters, and we will show you how. Expect to discuss a course rather than a single vial at your assessment. Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active infection or inflammation in the area, or tend to form raised scars. Expect swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for a few days. One vial suits a smaller area or a first session in a course. Consultations at our East Finchley clinic are free, and we will tell you honestly whether one vial is enough.
